No. Your vault is created automatically when you install the GitHub App. You only need a Solana wallet address to withdraw funds or set a recovery address.
Is GitSafe custodial?
No. Assets are held in Program Derived Accounts on Solana. GitSafe cannot access or freeze your funds.
What if I rename my GitHub account?
Your vault is anchored to your GitHub Permanent User ID, not your username. Renaming has zero effect on vault ownership.
Can an AI agent drain my vault?
No. safeTokens have no transfer or approve instruction at the program level. A fully compromised agent cannot move funds — there is no function to call.
